Here we go.

In my whole entire life, I have written very, very little fan fiction.

Two or three pieces, probably. And only from stories that have knocked me down, knotted me up, and made me so obsessed that I HAD to let it out somehow.

One of those stories is a book called The Curse of the Spiderking.

Written by—wait for it—Wayne Thomas Batson.

Who read my book. And said, and I quote, “Spire and Stone knocked me off my feet.”

Cue screaming.

And yes, he’s going to see this, and yes, I’ll be embarrassed. No, I do not care.
