For real this time!

Yikes, it’s been ridiculously long since I was last here. June has been a month, y’all. Let me tell you.

But! I am officially a graduate of the Colorado Media School!

Woohooo!

In case you’ve forgotten, I was working toward a certificate in Digital Media Production, which meant a lot of audio editing, podcasts, social media tools, video editing, and, only occasionally, tears and minor breakdowns.

All in all, we got through rather well, I think!

What some of you may not know is that about a month after I went back to school, my husband was let go from his job, and he began the process of starting a new career as well.

If I have white hair before I’m thirty, it’s because of the last few months. Amen.

His venture into the ‘back to school’ life was a little shorter than mine, thank goodness, and after a month of classes, several jobs that didn’t fit our family dynamics and didn’t last, and about two hundred job applications, he started a position that is everything we were hoping for and more.

Woot woot!

Actually he started his job the day before I graduated. That was a week, let me tell you.

But it’s over now, and I am feeling out my ‘post-grad’ life with a new job of my own on the horizon (shhhh, I’ll tell you about it soon), a book that is due to hit the shelves in OCTOBER, and a little boy who’s thrilled that mommy has snuggle and book time in the mornings again.

So many good things, y’all. So many.

I’ve got some crazy announcements coming up really soon, but I don’t want to spoil them all in one post! Today I’m just glad to be back, and happy to be celebrating some easing of all the stress we’ve been under. This was a hard season, but it left us with so, so many things to be thankful for.
