Amazingly, despite all the craziness of the last six months, we actually managed to get in a couple of hiking trips this year.

I think Adam is starting to like them.

At the very least, he’s not completely furious in every picture now.

We were hoping to squeak in a few more, and a camping trip or two as well, but we had some plans change in the very best way possible.

To start with, I start full-time as a staff writer for Adventures in Odyssey on Monday!

Yep. This coming Monday.

This job has been a long time coming, and I’ve given up on it a few times, but it finally came through!

I’m over the moon. Not to overshare, but I definitely, absolutely cried.

Working full time with a toddler is going to be a new experience, but one that I’m excited to dive into. We’re going to try to keep things as normal as possible for our own sanity, but camping may have to wait until both my husband and I settle into our new jobs.

Until then, hiking on the weekends will have to do.
