Check it out, y’all.
This is where the magic happens.
Not really. The magic happens in my head, where too many people are talking, seven stories have blended together until I have to pick them apart like knotted yarn, and there are no gray walls at all.
None.
Not even one.
One of the first things I did when I learned I was going back to working full time was plan my cubicle. Back when I first became an apprentice, I made a mistake with my cubicle and kept the colors muted and the decor minimalistic and elegant.
Spoiler alert. It is very hard to write a radio program with a target audience of eight to twelve year olds in a minimalistic, elegant, and muted environment.
The stories do not story.
If you get my meaning.
Suffice to say, the elegance has been ditched and the muted colors tossed out the window, and I am in the process of making my cubicle a whirlwind of color, easter eggs, and inspiration. (Guess what episode I was thinking about when I picked out the sunflowers!)
It’s still got a long way to go, but I am slowly building up my creative space to hide the gray walls and make my office a place where the magic really can happen.
Stay tuned for more pictures as I build it up!
